Adverse childhood experiences (ACES) take on various forms, forms such as, physical, sexual & emotional abuse, witnessing domestic violence, divorce and or separation of parents, experiencing homelessness, an incarcerated parent, substance abuse and or alcoholism but not limited to.
ACES is also known as “Adverse Community Environments” such as, discrimination, community disruption, lack of opportunity, economic mobility and social capital, poor housing quality and affordability, violence and poverty but not limited to.
